A new database was being developed to model the geometry of the cladding panels. Each panel's perimeter needed to be defined by vertices, and adjacent panels had to be identified along with their shared edges. Every panel was assigned an ID and had specific perimeter vertices linked to it. The process involved some manual steps.
After the database was created, the process became fairly repetitive. The warping of each panel was analyzed separately, leading to an iterative procedure for each panel.
A graphical solution was required to visualize the relative movement between adjacent panels.
